LEGO® 10298 - Vespa 125

As other reviews have stated the build falls apart in your hands as your completing it. It has been attempted twice but the lack of support in the front end has kept it from being finished.

Hi this is her daughter typing, I really liked this set. I haven't had a bad experience with a Lego set yet and I really liked this. I got it at a store when It first came out and built it right away and was so happy with how it turned out.

First: the good stuff. This sets looks amazing and really nails the sweet spot in terms of size. The color was great, and the kickstand makes it actually displayable. It's on a shelf and I couldn't be happier. The bad stuff: The helmet is a bit lame, but it's there and I can remove it from the display if I want. Stickers exist, but they peeled and stuck easily. Now for a comment on the sturdiness: Is this lego set going to survive a small fall? No, probably not. Is it going to fall apart when hit by a slight breeze? No. This is a Creator Expert set, so some extra care should be taken. I'm not going to hand this to a toddler, but it sits on a shelf and looks great. I appreciated the level of detail and overall challenge of the build, and didn't really notice the sturdiness. I think most of the outrage at the sturdiness is overblown.

Well. This is a flat out cute set. The flower box attachment on the rear is a nice touch. Overall the build is fine and the final look is appealing. The inherit challenge is that there are several connections that make this a fragile build, even after being put together. The pieces covering the front tire on either side do not connect together. This makes for a delicate connection, as well as the side walls covering the rear tires. The handles too are a bit flimsy in that they do not stay in the natural position of tilting to the driver. They can "fall forward" and look a little strange. Still, a fine build.

This is my 4th kit , There not enough support for the side pods and front body, generally flimsy in my opinion.

This model is one of the better examples of the "Creato´r Expert" vehicles. The classic form of an oldtimer Vespa can be easily recognized in the model. The building techniques used were sometimes a bit redundant, but overall it was a nice building experience - quite some joyful hours! Nice to take off the engine cover to see the engine underneath... Even smaller details like the kickstarter, the footbrake and the exhaust are included - the rear luggage rack with the small crate and the helmet are and extra treat. As a scooterist AND a Lego fan, I am twice as happy to have built this one! I cannot confirm the lack of stability that was mentioned by some reviewers: one should be aware that this is not a model for "heavy playing" but more for a glass cabinet (vitrine) and should be handled with a certain care. One small complaint has to be made about the stickers: they have no place in the Creator Expert series with quite high-priced models: one should expect printed bricks for this amount of money! Here we have two printed bricks and a lot of stickers. This is both a pity and a downturn for the model. But overall: if you like building bigger models and/or if you like scooters and a Vespa, this one should not be missed out on!
